A distinguished artist, that I am proud to get to call my very good friend, Taft McWhorter, always says
"if you are lucky enough to make it to the top, send the elevator back down."
I haven't made it to the top yet, but in the spirit of that statement, I'm in a position where I can hold the door open.
For me, that means I may still be pretty far from the top floor, but I've made it a few floors up, and if in my journey this far, if I've learned something that may help someone else, they are welcome to all my knowledge. Additionally I believe we all give what we can. Not everyone is capable of giving in the same way, but everyone can give in some way.
For me, I can give art.

I certainly didn't get here on my own, I get here with great love and support from my family and friends, and people taking a risk on me.
Art is my passion. Every time I paint I put part of myself on the canvas.
Painting for myself is an emotional journey, but getting to paint for others gives true meaning.
